It’s no secret that human beings are masters of emotions… riding them that is.

A daily meditation practice is probably the number one most influential tool we emotional-roller-coaster-riding-humans have at our disposal to attain an equilibrium (not to mention all the titans of our time swear by it), but there are other methods as well. Healing and working through emotions with naturally sourced essential oils is one such method.

So, how do you begin?

Start slowly and learn to trust your intuition.

With essential oils there are no wrong answers.

I have learnt to trust myself  by using my intuition and then going back to my emotions handbook to be surprised by the connections (but then again, not really) because of how accurate the oils that I chose to use, suited the emotion/mood/healing I so desired to achieve.

As I eluded to at the beginning, healing (for me) includes yoga, meditation, journaling and the allowance of time.

The five stages of essential oil healing are:

  1. Essential oils assist in healing the physical body.
  2. Essential oils assist in healing the heart.
  3. Essential oils assist in releasing limiting beliefs.
  4. Essential oils increase spiritual awareness and connection.
  5. Essential oils inspire the fulfilment of our life’s purpose.

Stage One – The Physical Body: The power of these incredible oils can be more potent and helpful than herbs or western medicine. Essential oils assist the body in fighting unfriendly microorganisms, purifying organs, glands, systems and raise the body’s vibrations.

Currently I am on a parasite cleanse which consists of – Wormwood, Clove, Garlic, Walnut, Mugwort, Black Cumin, Marjoram, Olive, and Ricinus. And, MAN! these bad boys are giving me a run for my money!

Is it working – Hell yes!

Stage two – Healing the Heart: Do this through the release and receive process. Now that our physical body is being taken care of, we have the energy needed to penetrate the heart and enter the emotional realm.

As you begin to use your essential oils daily, and live your life at a higher vibration, the lower energies can no longer stay suppressed and the body will want to release them.

We must go through the process of accepting all emotions, this includes the negative or perceived as negative ones too. And, just as a friendly reminder; negative emotions that ARE being released are NOT you going backwards. You are always moving forwards and growing.

It may go without saying, however I’m going to say it anyways…

Essential oils alone will not heal you – however – they do create the right environment one needs to tap into true, lasting healing.

To get a taste of how much I utilize some of these resources on a a day to day, I’ll share with you a snippet of my morning (all before 9am) oil routine:

  • Morning arise with a diffusing blend of Citrus Bliss and Thyme.
  • After oil pulling use the On Guard Natural Cleaning Toothpaste.
  • Shower scrub for self love made with Geranium and Bergamont.
  • Yoga, begins with Elevation, Balance and ends with Lavender Peace.
  • Cleaning yoga matt, with a homemade spray of Tea Tree and water.
  • A few drops of DigestZen in my water bottle and rubbed on my belly.

And voila!
